Course Description: Examines interpersonal, intergroup, and international violence and aggression. The topic is approached from the standpoints of physiological, motivational, learning, cognitive and interpersonal factors, and structural and ecological factors. Aspects of the psychology of nonviolence are covered. Course Objectives:

 Objective 1: Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental concepts and ideas and the understanding of the methods that will produce knowledge in aggression & violence and the developmental forces which serve to prevent violence in history or the social sciences

Objective 2: Demonstrate ability to analyze data, variables, and information to conduct research.

Objective 3: Demonstrate ability to synthesize research methods and social psychological studies of aggression into a comprehensive and concise research literature to convey research outcomes.
