Course Description: This course is concerned with the study and application of research methods appropriate to liberal and professional studies. This course will provide a general introduction to research methods, as well as providing practical exposure to literature reviews, data collection and analysis, and the research proposal. Quantitative and qualitative research methodologies will be covered in preparation for the later courses in these areas.
Course Objectives:
Objective 1: Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental concepts and ideas and the understanding of the methods that will produce knowledge in quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
Objective 2: Demonstrate ability to analyze data, variables, and information to conduct research.
Objective 3: Demonstrate ability to synthesis research methods and develop their writing as well as their research skills.
